The
Paintings in Cooperstown Gallery in Phillies Citizens
Bank Park
In preparation for the opening of the new Citizens Bank
Park in April 2004, the Phillies commissioned Dick Perez
to create 32 paintings as a tribute to over a century
of Philadelphia baseball history and the members of Baseball's
Hall of Fame from the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia
Athletics and Philadelphia area Native Sons. These paintings
are the centerpiece of a permanent exhibition at Cooperstown
Gallery in Citizens Bank Park. They were also displayed
for one month at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts
prior to opening of the new ballpark. It was the first
time a sports artist was honored with a one-man show at
the nation's first art museum.
A signed 35" x 25" limited edition Giclee print
featuring a collage of all the paintings is available
for $250. To order, please call Austen Alexander Arts
at 610-524-4240 or email austenalexander@aol.com.
Please click on any of the images
in this limited edition Giclee print to see larger images
and to learn more information about these Hall of Fame
players, managers and umpires.
