Bobby signed with the Mets 12/2/91 as a free agent and is playing in his hometown in '92. He grew up in the New York City borough of the Bronx. Bobby had a fine year in '91 as he led the NL in doubles (44) while placing fourth in runs (102), hits (174) and on-base percentage (.391). Bobby was signed originally by the Pirates in '81, but made his big league debut with the White Sox in '86. A mid-season trade in '86 brought him back to the Pirates where he had five outstanding years. Card 1
